Singing
Leipzig
Conference and performance festival Movement in Urban
space - Play! Leipzig, 20th-17th June 2010.
We are participating with the project SINGING LEIPZIG. Taking on
the roles of modern troubadours we will be working in the city
space each
day of
the festival collecting and creating material for songs about Leipzig.
We will perform our new Leipzig songs live at the Sunday Matinee on the
last day of the festival.www.playleipzig.de
Walks, audio-guided tours, site-specific performances and processions
are planned to take place in an unconventional manner in this festival.
Closely
related to these activities an international conference with lectures,
panels and working groups will reflect current discussions about dance,
movement, public sphere, urban development and interventionist practice.
A collaboration of Dance Archive Leipzig, University of Leipzig and Centraltheater&Skala.
